Olgamaria, “Olga”, Alvarado has over 15 years of experience as a tax professional within the New York Metro area.  She has worked in Big 4 public accounting, industry, and most recently as Associate Director to a large multinational company.  Olga has broad knowledge allowing her to handle wide-ranging tax projects and provide strong management within a tax department.

Tax Expertise

• Managed 10-Q and 10-K US GAAP accounting for income taxes and worldwide effective tax rate (ETR).
• Managed the preparation of annual and quarterly ASC 740 computations and deferred tax roll forwards on a global basis.
• Managed audits ranging from international to state while coordinating with the IRS, planned the audit, responded to requests, and prepared formal communications.
• Managed and implemented OneSource Tax Provision Software, along with technology improvements to streamline quarterly and annual close processes while mitigating reporting risks.
• Collaborated on transfer pricing projects to determine forecasted pretax income for controlled foreign corporations based on entity function.
• Prepared and reviewed Code Section 163j computations on a quarterly basis.
• Supervised the in-house preparation of U.S. Corporate tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimates.
• Prepared and maintained Sarbanes-Oxley documentation to ensure compliance and assisted with internal controls.
• Managed the return preparation process, trained staff, researched and documented tax positions, quarterly estimates, projections, etc.
