Tax Accounting

• Management of all aspects of tax accounting including preparation/review of: monthly provision calculations, tax accounting entries, effective tax rate reconciliations, deliverables to financial accounting teams, tax footnote disclosures, balance sheet proof analyses for deferred taxes and taxes payable, provision-to-return analyses and related accounting entries, tracking of Federal, state and international tax attributes for deferred tax reporting, and workpapers submitted for annual external attest audits
• Preparation/review of tax basis balance sheets
• Management of SOX controls compliance
• Management of all aspects of ASC 740-10 including evaluation, categorization, and measurement of uncertain tax positions

Tax Compliance

• Management of all aspects of the Federal income tax compliance function including separate company and consolidated corporate and partnership returns
• Preparation of Elections and Disclosures to be filed with corporate and partnership returns
• Review of quarterly estimate and extension calculations

Tax Leadership

• Establishment of in-house tax functions for closely held and private-equity-owned companies
• Creation of formal documentation of tax processes, work product, and project workplans

IRS Tax Audits

• Development of audit cycle plans
• Management of the IRS Information Document Request (“IDR”) process including responses to IRS requests and Notices of Proposed Adjustments
• Negotiation and resolution of issues and settlement options through the IRS Appeals level

Tax Technology Experience

• Experienced user of ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP) software
• Testing and data validation associated with implementation of OTP software
• Familiarity with CorpTax and BNA Fixed Asset System functionality and outputs
• Basic proficiency using Alteryx, OneStream and SAP accounting systems
