Scott Levine has over 15 years of experience as a tax technology professional. His experience includes that of a tax technology director for a Fortune 500 company, leading the financial and tax software systems, and an experienced leader in the complex process of acceleration initiatives across functional lines and all levels of an organization. - Tax Development and Technology: Managed projects to create a company-wide Earnings & Profit database to increase efficiency, reporting, and automation. Designed, developed, and implemented transfer pricing system for sales, production, and service units using Hyperion Financial Management to maximize tax savings.
- Tax and Accounting Operations: Analyzed and facilitated the clearing of intra-company balances while lowering the risks for future tax liabilities, resulting in yearly tax savings. Ensured the completion of year-end financials and system related processes in order to prepare tax financials to be used for regulatory filings. He also monitored the transfer of pricing processes related to legal entity accounting and reporting of financial information.
- Business Analysis: Provided ad hoc data analysis for tax and financial reporting related matters. As well as, created databases to track legal entity attributes, ownership information, and company-wide intra-company agreement contracts.
- Project Management: Led and increased efficiency in the legal entity accounting function transfer from the Tax Department to the Accounting function. He also managed multiple concurrent projects that encompassed assembling teams, gathering the appropriate resources, developing budgets and schedules, and successfully completing the project.
Prior to joining Steele Consulting, Scott worked for Turner Broadcasting Systems as the Director of Tax Technology and Reporting.
Scott is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, with his Bachelor of Science in Economics, as well as, having received several masters from Georgia State University, among those being: a Masters of Taxation, Masters of Accounting, and a Masters of Business Administration.
